Tower Summit plans well underway

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif.—The 2001 Tower Summit and Tradeshow in Las Vegas on Oct. 28-30, will hold specific panels and sessions to aid small to mid-size independent tower owners and managers who provide tower or rooftop space to the wireless communications industry.

More than 3,000 attendees, including wireless carriers, communications site specialists and developers, site acquisition and zoning specialists, wireless Internet service providers and property owners are expected to be there.
The panels will address the major opportunities and challenges facing this sector of tower owners including financing, zoning, carrier expansion plans, competition and scaling issues. Panelists will discuss realistic projections for income three years out and the tenant lease up potential, among other topics.

Sessions also will detail the strategies and techniques used to secure credit approvals locally, regionally and in the U.S. District Court of Appeals, when towers sites are developed in rural and suburban markets.

Independent tower owners and rooftop managers can take advantage of networking opportunities as well at the 2001 Excellence in Business Awards being held Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m., on-site in the Bally’s Hotel and Casino.
