WOODBURY, New York, United States—Wireless technology is entering the home, as evidenced in Comverse’s announcement that its interactive TV platform, which provides messaging and unified communications services for cable television, has been selected by Matav Digital, a cable television provider in Israel.
Matav Digital said it will offer its subscribers e-mail, short message service and account statement over the television. “These services transform the television set from an entertainment device into a two-way communications instrument by adding a new dimension to enhance home communications options,” said Amit Levin, chief executive officer of Matav Digital.
