PORTLAND, Ore.-Consumer electronics retailer 800.com Inc. has acquired the assets of recently merged Roxy.com, an online consumer electronics retailer, and EverythingWireless, a wireless phone marketer.
In the deal, 800.com acquired all rights to the company’s Web site URL, database of 800,000 names and catalog and creative assets.
Customers using the Roxy.com and EverythingWireless.com URLs and toll-free numbers will be directly linked to 800.com.
“We’ve built the infrastructure that enables us to easily integrate significant portions of Roxy.com and EverythingWireless into our business,” said Greg Drew, 800.com’s chief executive officer and co-founder.
“Because the acquisition takes full advantage of our resources and expertise in selling complex goods, we expect it to have an immediate and positive effect on revenue and gross margins.”
