Anne-Rivers Forcke was appointed chairman of the MultiMedia Telecommunications Association’s Media Relations Committee. Forcke is a relationship marketing strategist for the Global Small Business group at IBM Corp., where she is responsible for managing the marketing program worldwide. Forcke has more than 15 years of marketing communications experience.

Telus

Telus Corp. appointed two new members to its executive management team. Robert G. McFarlane will be the company’s new executive vice president and chief financial officer. In his new position, McFarlane will be responsible for the development of corporate strategies, plans and policies. He will also oversee investor relations, financial reporting, and control and internal audits. McFarlane was previously the executive vice president, chief financial officer and secretary treasurer of Clearnet Communications Inc., before it was acquired by Telus. Telus’ other appointment is Barry A Baptie, who will serve as the company’s executive vice president for technology and operations. In his new position, Baptie will be responsible for establishing the infrastructure for deploying integrated services. Baptie was previously Telus’ executive vice president for finance and chief financial officer.

MTU Wireless

Kevin Honea will be MTU Wireless Inc.’s new national sales and marketing manager. In his new position, Honea will be responsible for all the company’s North American sales and marketing. Honea has more than eight years of experience in sales and marketing. Prior to joining MTU, Honea was the national sales director for Callwrite.com.

Vettro

Vettro made three new appointments to its executive management team. Marc Jorrens will be the company’s new vice president of delivery, where he will oversee the workings of Vettro’s solutions organization and be responsible for the delivery of internal and external client projects. Previously, Jorrens worked as the client manager for Context Integration, where he managed the company’s largest client. Before Context Integration, Jorrens worked at Datatrope Systems LLC as its vice president. Bjorn Kalderen will be Vettro’s new director of carrier intelligence, and will be responsible for developing solutions offerings for carriers. He will also act as the resident source on all carrier, telecommunications and network issues and trends. Previously, Kalderen was the director of mobile Internet applications for Ericsson, and before that he was the strategic product manager for Ericsson Radio Systems. Finally, Sanji Fernando was promoted from Vettro’s vice president of delivery to the company’s executive vice president of human capital, where he will be responsible for hiring and retaining the company’s employees.

Zucotto

David McCartney will be Zucotto Wireless Inc.’s new executive vice president, where he will primarily be responsible for the company’s sales efforts. McCartney has more than 25 years’ experience in the wireless industry. He most recently worked at RangeStar Wireless Inc., and before that he held executive positions with a variety of companies, including Motorola and Ericsson.

GroupServe

GroupServe announced its current president, Ted Achacoso, will step down to focus on his job as chief technology officer, and the company hired Thomas Stroup as its new president. Stroup will work with the company’s chief executive officer, Andrew Roscoe, on business development, strategic alliance negotiations and venture capital fundraising. Stroup, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, was most recently the president and chief executive officer of P-Com Network Services Inc. Stroup has also served as the president of the Personal Communications Industry Association. GroupServe provides wirelessly enabled Internet-based groupware applications.

Pixo

Dan McCammon was appointed as Pixo Inc.’s chief financial officer, where he will help guide the company’s expansion into the wireless market. McCammon has more than 25 years of experience in financial and administrative management in high-tech companies. He most recently served as chief financial officer at MultiGen-Paradigm Inc., where he helped negotiate the company’s acquisition by Computer Associates International. Prior to that job, McCammon worked at NetFrame Systems Inc., McAfee Associates Inc. and Claris Corp. Also at Pixo, Kjell S. Andersson joined the company’s board of directors. Andersson has more than 20 year’s of experience in high-tech management. He worked for 16 years at Ericsson in a variety of top management positions, including executive vice president and general manager of the company’s Radio Systems division. Most recently, Andersson was executive vice president of Omnipoint Corp. and president and chief executive officer of Omnipoint Technologies Inc.

iMedica

Larry Benton joined iMedica Corp. as the company’s vice president of sales, where he will work to maximize the effectiveness of the company’s internal and contract sales on a national level. Benton boasts more than 15 years’ experience in sales, marketing and executive management. Most recently, he served as deputy division manager and vice president of business development for Science Applications International Corp. While there, he helped to organize and direct an e-Health Solutions startup division.

SiteSafe

Keith Stanhill is SiteSafe Inc.’s new director of human resources. Before his new appointment, Stanhill was the director of human resources for Divine Inc., and worked with about 300 new employees during a year-long period. Prior to that, Stanhill was director of human resources for Comm Site International and Whalen and Co.

OPASTCO

Donald Erickson is the new legislative director for the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies, where he will work with members of Congress and their staff to push OPASTCO’s agenda. Previously, Erickson was the legislative assistant for Sen. Rod Grams, R-Minn., for six years.

Brightpod

Hermon Pon, the chief technology officer for the global wireless solutions division of Nortel Networks, has earned a place on the board of directors for Brightpod. During his 20 years at Nortel, Pon has worked in a variety of areas, including switching, radio, intelligent services and systems engineering.

Lucent

Tony Melvin was promoted to managing director for Lucent Technology’s software products group operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Melvin has worked in the group since 1996, and has held the position of director of consulting services for global strategic planning. In his new position, Melvin will work to help Lucent’s customers with their software needs. Also at Lucent, the company said its Bell Labs Centre of Excellence in France has grown to more than 450 people in the last six months.

GSM North America

Robert L. Brown was elected chairman of GSM North America, an organization that works to support the evolution of GSM in the United States and Canada. Brown, who was previously the president and chief executive officer of a software company, succeeds Jim Murrell, Powertel’s vice president. Brown will also continue to serve as the group’s executive director, secretary and treasurer-a position he has held for the past four years.

mobilePosition

MobilePosition announced four new members of its management team. Christopher Kingdon is the company’s new chief technology officer. Kingdon was previously working for Ericsson’s Mobile Positioning Systems, and was also a founding member of the Location Interoperability Forum. Annika Jarnehammar is mobilePosition’s new chief marketing officer. Before this position, Jarnehammar was the head of strategy and business development at Telia Mobile. She was also a management consultant at AT Kearney and Andersen Consulting. Peter Uddfors is the company’s
new chief sales officer. Uddfors has nine years of experience at Lorenzen & Wettre, where he worked as global
head of sales and marketing. Finally, Mats Cedervall is mobilePosition’s new senior architect and technical expert on patents. Cedervall also worked for Ericsson writing patent applications.

Larson Company

Andrew Messing is the new president and chief executive officer of The Larson Company. Messing, who has experience in finance, sales and marketing and manufacturing, was previously chief executive officer for Fightertown Entertainment and Virtual World Entertainment.

Telcom Global

Chris Carter was appointed Telecom Global Solutions Inc.’s new senior director for engineering services. In his new position, Carter will be responsible for the planning and management of the company’s global resource pool. Carter has more than seven years of experience in wireless network design and optimization. Most recently, he was the senior member of the technical staff with Southwestern Bell Corp.’s SBC Technology Resources Inc., where he contributed wireless expertise in part of the company’s research and development organization.

AgentGO

Dwight Moore is AgentGO’s new chief technology officer, where he will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s development teams, as well as determining the company’s technical strategy and direction. Moore has more than 10 years of experience in technology management. Before his current position, Moore was the co-founder and chief technology officer for BTExchange, and also served as the interim chief technology officer at NetBotz. Also at AgentGO, Ed Conlin was appointed as the company’s new vice president of marketing, where he will be responsible for marketing strategy, brand development, public relations, advertising, direct marketing and merchandising. Conlin has more than 30 years of experience in corporate and brand marketing with both small and large companies. He has held jobs with companies such as General Electric, Eaton, Onmicom and SicolaMartin, and has worked with clients such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Compaq. Also at AgentGO, C. Enrique Ortiz was promoted to vice president of development for platform and tools, where he will be responsible for the ongoing development and management of the company’s agentWORKS mobile application platform and toolset. Ortiz was most recently director of mobile/wireless technology. Ortiz has more than 10 year’s experience in software research, architecture, design and development. Prior to AgentGO, Ortiz was senior software engineer at Pervasive Software and a developer for IBM Corp.

T-Speed

T-Speed Broadband Communications elected Randy Schriewer, the chief financial officer of Broadband Gateways Inc., to its board of directors. Schriewer has more than 20 years of experience in finance and management. He was previously the senior vice president and chief financial officer for CyBerCorp. Inc., where he led the sale of the firm to The Charles Schweb Corp. Schriewer also worked as chief financial officer for Jerell Inc. He has also worked for Bank Building Corp., Forney Engineering Corp. and Mallinckrodt Inc.
