Endware

Broadband wireless product supplier Endware Corp. appointed Mike Roush vice president of manufacturing and operations, Nick Ingrao director of wireless programs and Chris Brown system engineering manager. Roush will oversee the expansion of the company’s Diamond Springs, Calif., manufacturing plant in his new position. Roush was vice president of operations for TRW Milliwave before joining Endware. Ingrao, previously an account manager for TRW Milliwave, will be responsible for managing customer orders and fulfillment. Brown will define internal system requirements, new product introductions and cost reduction in his new position. Prior to joining Endware, Brown was a wireless telecommunications product line manager for TRW Milliwave.

WatchMark

Rick Schmaltz was named vice president of sales and marketing at telecommunications software company WatchMark Corp. Schmaltz will work with the company’s 25-member sales and marketing organization that is ramping up to accommodate continued growth. Schmaltz was at CrossKeys Systems Corp. prior to joining WatchMark, where he was involved in sales, marketing, channel management, alliance and strategic development.

Widcomm

Wireless networking technology company Widcomm Inc. announced that Joanne Grba joined the company’s executive management team as vice president of marketing and business development. Grba will lead Widcomm’s marketing efforts in Bluetooth wireless technology and will manage the marketing team handling the development and execution of product and marketing strategies and all marketing activities for the company. Prior to joining Widcomm, Grba was vice president of marketing and technology at TAB Products.

Equitel

Chris Crutchfield was promoted to director of network engineering/Oracle DBA at prepaid cellular reseller Equitel Inc. Crutchfield will be responsible for all network administration, from internal telecommunications supervision to oversight of the company’s Web server, local area network and Oracle database. Crutchfield was a network engineer at Equitel, where he was responsible for the company’s network design and architecture. In addition, Equitel promoted Natalie York to director of corporate communications where she will oversee the company’s investor relations program and develop national awareness for the company. York was Equitel’s corporate communications manager prior to her promotion, where she was involved in advancing the company’s public relations and marketing initiatives. Charles DeLeon, formerly of US-UnWired has joined Equitel as director of sales. Jim Ryan, formerly of BellSouth Mobility DCS has joined Equitel as director of operations.

PacketVideo

PacketVideo Corp. appointed two vice presidents under the company’s Consumer Applications & Services Division. Keely McGeehan was named the division’s vice president of North American Production & Operations where she will be responsible for PacketVideo’s development of wireless consumer applications and content service offerings, as well as managing ongoing programming support for the company’s carrier trials worldwide. McGeehan served as vice president of Broadband Internet and Digital Telephone Services for MediaOne before joining PacketVideo. John McGanty was named vice president of North American Business Development where he will be responsible for establishing relationships with technology and programming partners. McGanty is taking the lead in mapping the company’s programming service business. Previously, McGanty was vice president of business development at WizShop.com, an outsource provider of custom-branded marketplaces for high-traffic Internet service providers, intranets and destination Web sites.

Isochron Data

Steve Winter, former PeopleSoft executive, was named chief executive officer of wireless Web-based software company Isochron Data Corp. The company said Winter, currently a partner in Sagebrook Investments and an investor in Isochron, is joining Isochron to help the company through a transition period as well as respond to potential sales growth. As CEO, Winter will focus on building the sales division, identifying future leadership candidates and overseeing the development of Isochron’s wireless application products. While at PeopleSoft, Winter served as vice president and was involved with the early stage launch of both the PeopleSoft Financial and ERP product suite.

Crown Castle

Steve Schmitt joined Crown Castle International Corp. as senior vice president and chief information officer. Schmitt was vice president of supply chain e-business at Marconi plc, where he was responsible for the strategic direction of the company’s supply chain management e-business systems. Crown Castle also promoted Jerry Vogl to vice president of new business integration. Vogl was vice president of information technology for U.S. operations and director of information technology for U.K. operations before his promotion. Vogl will be responsible for the integration of acquisitions and the direction of infrastructure start-up activities for new global businesses involving the integration of all business-level processes and data within newly acquired enterprises and between CCIC and its subsidiaries.

VideoTele.com

VideoTele.com Inc. expanded its executive team, naming Bill Johnston director of manufacturing and service, Richard Maiorana director of business development and Gary Miller director of human resources. Johnston joins VideoTele.com from its parent company Tektronix Inc., where he held various management positions for manufacturing, customer and business services, logistics and sales support services. Maiorana, who served as director of global relations and senior manager of the Video and Networking division of Tektronix, will focus on strategic relationships needed to broaden VT.com’s full-service home entertainment offerings. Miller was a human resource business director for Tektronix, where she directed all regional human resources functions for the Americas & Pacific regions.

SigmaOne

Tony McDowell was named vice president of network operations at SigmaOne Communications Corp., where he will be responsible for the overall development of the company’s network-based wireless location technology and services, as well as strategic day-to-day operations. Prior to joining SigmaOne, McDowell served as vice president of MTA engineering and operations for Aerial Communications, where he managed the launch of the company’s personal communications services network and deployment of its Global System for Mobile communications digital network.

FCC

Rosalind Allen, former deputy bureau chief of the Federal Communications Commission’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, has joined the law firm of Arnold and Porter. Emily Hoffnar has replaced Allen as the FCC liaison to the FCC’s Local and State Government Advisory Committee. Mary Beth Richards has been appointed interim deputy chief of the FCC’s Common Carrier Bureau.
