PCIA argues to use historical data for paging wiretapping capacity

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-The amount of capacity that paging carriers should reserve for digital wiretapping activities should be based both on historical data and a percentage of subscribers, said the Personal Communications Industry Association in comments filed with the FBI. Paging carriers should also have 45 to 90 days to upgrade their systems from actual to maximum capacity, said PCIA.
