SAN JOSE, Calif.-LinkAir Communications Inc. completed the first call using its Large Area Synchronized Code Division Multiple Access technology, designed to advance the performance and capacity of wireless telecommunications systems.
LinkAir said LAS-CDMA offers the opportunity for wireless network operators to expand voice coverage over that of existing second-generation networks, while increasing data speeds to 5.53 Mbps.
