BOULDER, Colo.-SCC Communications Corp. announced an alliance agreement with TechnoCom Corp., which provides engineering and product development services in the wireless data and location industries.
The agreement calls for TechnoCom to work with SCC to deliver critical planning, evaluation, certification and compliance verification services as part of the overall SCC Phase II service offering.
“With the Federal Communications Commission regulations requiring E911 Phase II compliance by 2001, wireless carriers need the most comprehensive solution available,” said Barbara Winters, vice president and general manager of SCC Wireless business unit. “TechnoCom’s expertise in location-based services enables SCC to offer wireless carriers a bundled Phase II solution, which allows the wireless caller to be located within meters.”
