PETAH TIKVA, Israel-ECI Telecom announced it won a US$12 million contract from Philippine wireless carrier Globe Telecom. The Israeli company will supply a turnkey solution that includes optical networking equipment, SDH equipment and radio systems, and digital cross connects.
“The combination of these solutions will increase the capability and capacity of the Globe network dramatically,” said Meir Bass, ECI Telecom’s corporate vice president and general manager of integrated network solutions. “Additionally, this contract further proves the suitability of our solutions for cellular applications.”
