MANSFIELD, Mass.-Motorola Inc.’s Multiservice Network Division reported it will transfer all technology and product assets of its Bell 202T modems, as well as customer service agreements, to Telenetics Corp.
According to Motorola, Telenetics will build and sell a new line of modems, while gradually phasing out the Bell 202T units.
“We understand that there are hundreds of thousands of Motorola modems installed throughout North America and that there is a continued demand for this product by our customers,” said Jim Williams, vice president of sales and marketing for Motorola’s Multiservice Network Division. “Therefore, we reached an agreement with Telenetics Corp. to provide a continuing source of Bell 202T modems to North America.”
