RICHMOND, British Columbia-Mobile Data Solutions Inc., which provides wireless work force management solutions, reported a definitive agreement to acquire Connectria, an application service provider and provider of online service management solutions.
“The acquisition of Connectria will significantly accelerate the implementation of MDSI’s wireless eBusiness strategy,” said Ken Miller, chief executive officer of MDSI. “Through its ServeClick.com online service management solution, Connectria will also instantly extend MDSI’s online offerings for mobile service companies and open new markets with vast potential.”
Under terms of the proposed acquisition, MDSI will issue 845,000 shares of its common stock and employee stock options to purchase 584,000 shares of MDSI in exchange for all of the common shares of Connectria. The transaction is currently valued at approximately $45 million and is expected to close during the second quarter.
