Alamosa PCS launches two markets

LUBBOCK, Texas-Alamosa PCS Holdings Inc., a Sprint PCS affiliate, launched personal communications services in Eagle Pass and Del Rio, Texas.

“Because the tourist traffic generated from neighboring Mexico in Eagle Pass and Del Rio is quite extensive, we believe network usage along the border should greatly exceed our initial expectations,” said David Sharbutt, chairman and chief executive officer of Alamosa PCS.

“Additionally, we will also receive additional revenue from Sprint PCS and from other wireless carriers with whom Sprint PCS has roaming agreements.”
