Cellular South acquires Alltel PCS licenses in Alabama, Florida

JACKSON, Miss.-Cellular South entered an agreement to acquire wireless assets from Alltel, including personal communications services licenses in Mobile, Ala., and Pensacola, Fla., and expects to receive Federal Communications Commission approval for the acquisition later this year.

Cellular South also reported it will acquire Alltel’s PCS license for the Ft. Walton Beach/Destin, Fla., area.
