Leap launches service in Nashville

SAN DIEGO-Leap Wireless International Inc. announced it launched its Cricket wireless service in Nashville, allowing consumers to purchase wireless service in advance without having to sign a contract or pass a credit check.

The service, being introduced by recently acquired Chase Telecommunications Inc., lets consumers place phone calls in their local service area for one flat rate.

Leap noted its pending acquisition of ChaseTel is part of its strategy to bring the Cricket concept to select markets across the country.
