ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.-Motorola Inc. announced an agreement to cooperate on third-generation technology and research with the Ministry of Information Industry of the People’s Republic of China.
Under terms of the agreement, Motorola’s Network Solutions Sector will cooperate with the Research Institute of Telecommunications Transmission under MII to conduct two research projects on 3G.
The projects will aim to gain a better understanding of the 3G needs of the Chinese market, including applications, standards, network design and implementation, Motorola said.
