AT&T EXPANDS ON ONE-RATE PLAN

REDMOND, Wash.-AT&T Wireless Services Inc. announced a new service plan for its Digital One Rate program.

The carrier said it offered a calling plan last week for up to 300 minutes of wireless airtime, with no roaming or long-distance charges, for $60 per month.

“The success of AT&T Digital One Rate has exceeded our wildest expectations since we first introduced this unique concept in May 1998,” said President Dan Hesse. “Since that time, many customers have told us they wanted the ease and convenience of no roaming and long-distance charges with a smaller number of minutes each month.”
