WASHINGTON-The North American Numbering Council said resellers that receive more than 1,000 numbers from an original assignee must report their usage to the North American Numbering Plan Administrator.
Resellers that get less than 1,000 numbers will not be required to report their use of numbers; that responsibility will remain with the original assignee. The assignee is usually an incumbent local exchange carrier.
