DALLAS-Paging Network Inc. reported a consolidated net loss for the first quarter of $34 million, or 33 cents per share, compared with an $18 million net loss, or 18 cents per share, for the first quarter last year.
Net revenues for the quarter totaled $247.4 million, up 5.4 percent from the $234.6 million reported for the same period last year.
PageNet said it lost 192,600 subscribers from its base during the quarter, but average monthly revenue per unit rose to $8.04, compared with $7.82 for the fourth quarter of last year and $7.36 for the previous first quarter.
