IDC REPORTS RESULTS OF LOCATION TRIAL

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash.-Integrated Data Communications, a company that has developed a handset-based wireless location technology, said a recent six-month trial found its system located half of wireless callers to within 70 feet and 30 percent of callers to within a 40-foot radius.

IDC worked with AirTouch Communications Inc., GTE Wireless and Nextel Communications Inc. for the trial.
