NEW YORK-Globalstar L.L.P. announced it successfully launched four additional low-earth-
orbit satellites, bringing to 12 its total satellites in orbit.
The four satellites were launched simultaneously from a
Soyuz-Ikar rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
Globalstar said it plans further launches every
month to put at least 32 satellites in orbit and start limited services by the third quarter. The company aims to have its
full 52 satellites in place by the end of the year.
