SUNNYVALE, Calif.-General Magic Inc. announced an agreement under which it will extend its magicTalk voice recognition platform and Portico information service to Intuit Inc.’s Quicken.com customers, and Intuit will provide Quicken.com services to General Magics’ Portico portfolio.
Quicken.com is an online personal finance management site. Under terms of the agreement, Quicken.com customers will be able to access the Web-based financial information using voice-based commands over any telephone, via Portico’s call center.
Also, the solution will add personal financial management services to Portico’s voice-mail, e-mail, address book and calendar information services.
The combined product is expected to be available on a limited basis early next year.
