PITTSBURGH-Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile said its Pittsburgh employee base grew 25 percent last year and investments in the Pittsburgh network were more than $150 million.
The expansion caused Bell Atlantic Nynex to open a switching office in Bridgeville for its network operations, and the company unveiled plans to construct a new regional headquarters in Marshall Township.
The company said it expects its recent launch of Code Division Multiple Access technology to further strengthen its Pittsburgh market.
