Frank McGillivray has been promoted to vice president of Transaction Billing Resources, a provider of credit card processing for the telecommunications industry.

Also, Donna Tucker has been appointed TBR’s accounting supervisor, responsible for account management. The 7-year-old company has recently expanded its offices to make room for additional customer service representatives and data processing.

Gregory Gingras has been appointed marketing manager for Nokia Telecommunications Inc.’s newly formed U.S. sales unit. The company will supply infrastructure equipment to the emerging personal communications services market.

Gingras will be responsible for Nokia’s marketing and account management in the United States, developing relationships with key accounts and potential clients.

Before joining Nokia, Gingras worked nine years for Texas Instruments, serving as a strategic marketing manager in the semiconductor division as well as in engineering positions, technical marketing, product planning and training programs.

Finland-based Nokia is a leading supplier of digital Global System for Mobile Communications cellular networks and DCS 1800 personal communications networks.

Paging Network Inc. has promoted Michael DiMarco to the newly created position of vice president of corporate development. DiMarco was formerly regional president of the company’s Atlantic region. DiMarco joined PageNet in 1991 as vice president and general manager of the company’s Burbank, Calif., operation. He was named regional president in 1992.

Before joining PageNet, DiMarco was in senior management positions at National Car Rental and ARA Services.

Brendan Armstrong, formerly president of PageNet’s central region, has been appointed president of the Atlantic region. Armstrong joined PageNet in 1984 as a sales representative and has served as a sales manager. In 1990, Armstrong was promoted to vice president and general manager of the company’s Long Island subsidiary, Paging Network of New York Inc. Prior to joining PageNet, Armstrong was in management with a subsidiary of Midland Insurance Co. in New York.

Microwave Networks Inc. has announced six staff appointments. Dirk Heitkamp is now director of technical services, responsible for systems engineering, path design, system design and implementation. Heitkamp has 10 years of experience with the company in research, design and sales support.

Scott J. Champagne is the new manager of systems engineering, overseeing system design, evaluation and the integration of system level equipment and technical sales support, and Ronald D. Wagnon is the new manager of sales support, providing assistance for pre-sale activities, responsible for quotations and proposals. Wagnon joined the company in 1991 as a customer service engineer.

Dale Platt is the new manager of proposals, responsible for producing sales proposals and price quotations. He joined the company in 1991 as an international sales support engineer. Charles Werner has been appointed director of program management, to oversee the implementation and coordination of customer-related projects and issues. Werner previously was business unit manager for Andrew Corp.

Joseph W. Blake is the company’s new director of sales for Latin America and the Caribbean. He will be responsible for sales in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay, teaming up with William Torbert, also a director of Latin American sales.

Before joining the company, Blake was an in-country project manager in Venezuela for Alcatel Network Systems Inc.
