REDMOND, Washington, United States-Metawave Communications, a smart antenna manufacturer, is acquiring Adaptive Telecom for 5.5 million shares of Metawave common stock.
The deal gives Metawave additional smart antenna technology that will allow its carrier customers to enhance the capacity and ease the migration of their wireless networks to third-generation technologies, the companies said. The deal is expected to close at the end of the third quarter.
