PITTSBURGH-Marconi plc agreed to acquire MSI, a provider of consultancy and planning services and business and operational support services software for the wireless telecommunications industry, for $618 million in cash and company stock.
Marconi said the acquisition will enhance its ability to win and execute contracts, particularly in third-generation broadband wireless networks.
The transaction is expected to close in June.
