More than 500 people are scheduled to attend a MobileMonday Toronto event tonight. RCR Wireless News Publisher Jeff Mucci will moderate an open mobile operator panel with Alek Krstajic, CEO of Public Mobile, and Anthony Lacavera, CEO of Wind Mobile.
“As December 2010 marks the first full year of new competition in the Canadian market, with multiple wireless carriers competing fiercely for customers, it makes sense to step back and look at how the market developed and look to where it could be headed for 2011. It’s an exciting time with new plans and offers, cool devices and creative marketing from each provider vying for the attention of Canadian consumers. Our goal is to help the community gain new perspective given that so much has happened in the Canadian marketplace over the last year,” Alexander S. Bosika and Jim Brown, co-founders of MobileMonday Toronto, said in a prepared statement. “The quality of the panel reflects how important MobileMonday Toronto has become as a channel for the sharing of ideas and information at the local and national level on matters specific to the wireless industry.”
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. at MaRS Centre Auditorium on 101 College Street in Toronto. The panel is scheduled to start at 6:50 p.m. and take place between two networking breaks.
