Infrastructure awards wrap-up: Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia Siemens Networks and Airspan

The following list details this week's infrastructure awards for the cellular, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX industries. The contracts are broken down by transmission technology, country and vendor. The value of the contract is included when available.
Cellular
--South Africa: Vodacom SA has chosen Alcatel-Lucent to design, build and deploy an upgrade of its existing 3G network. The contract is valued at about $29 million.
--United Arab Emirates: Nokia Siemens Networks said it has been chosen by Du to deploy a radio access solution under a turnkey network expansion and managed services contract. The solution includes 2G/3G/HSPA technologies and a variety of services. The contract is valued at $225 million.
WiMAX
--Montenegro: Airspan Networks said Comarch selected it to provide a WiMAX solution for a deployment by Promonte, a subsidiary of Telenor. Comarch and Telenor are planning a countrywide WiMAX deployment for businesses.
