Creating independent games – Coders Episode 23

This week I’m joined by indie game developer Ryan Waller of Forthright Entertainment. We discuss the tools for making games, what it takes to build a business making games, and how bandwidth and networks play a part in a game’s success.

Waller’s team works from all corners of the globe, and telecommunications are critical to coordination.

Something that’s interesting is that despite the tools being more accessible and less costly than ever, indie game shops are having a tough time monetizing their games. Yet more and more people are able to access games in more ways than ever before. What role do carriers play in all this? Tune in to find out!
