As to Argentina, Telefónica announced that has set an investment plan of $941 million for 2015, mainly focused on expanding its fixed and mobile networks, as well as deploying new products and services.

The expansion 4G LTE expansion is a primary thrust of the investment. Telefónica has already deployed the fourth generation of telecommunications technology in 12 provinces, covering about 100 locations, including over 80% of the city of Buenos Aires.

The plan also aims to increase the number of radio base stations with LTE, jumping from today’s 1,000 to 1,850 antennas by December. Telefónica counts 500,000 customers using its 4G LTE services.
