From big data to customer engagement, ASPIDER-NGI delivers solutions as a service

An eye on providing network operators with disruptive service solutions, ASPIDER-NGI has taken a forward-thinking approach that enables clients to push customer engagement, build loyalty and increase revenues.

With its precise focus on rapid innovation and short time-to-market, ASPIDER-NGI has a robust portfolio that can impact the bottom line of mobile network operators and mobile virtual network operators, as well as companies targeting the booming Internet of Things and mobile over-the-top content provision spaces.

Jan Mooijman, CEO of ASPIDER-NGI, explained the importance of fostering innovation for clients in a recent interview with RCR Wireless News. “Innovation is not just in technology,” he said, “but in the way that we think and the way that we work. My first step was to get a new management team in place to foster new thinking, and programs to allow flexibility in how we get things done.”

ASPIDER merged with Next Gen Innovation (NGI) in November. Moojiman, previously the CEO of Infopact Network Solutions, took the helm and put in place a new management team. “We are always driving towards operational excellence and must drive to think outside the box to ensure we are disruptive … with solutions that change behaviors,” Mooijman said.

ASPIDER-NGI delivers its solutions as a service and includes a range of offerings:

  • Mobile Virtual Network Enabler platforms to launch brands
  •  Value Added Services to drive customer engagement and Enterprise revenue
  • Big Data analytics solutions that enable clients to gather meaningful information that can be leveraged to maximize growth and margin.

For instance, ASPIDER-NGI’s Multi Brand Platform and Service Environment is an easily configurable application and services suite that encompasses core functions, service delivery, billing and customer-facing interactions like troubleshooting, ticketing and relationship management.

On the big data analytics side, ASPIDER-NGI provides a Hadoop cloud-based solution that allows operators to easily identify potential problems, reduce churn, and collect and manage data for process integration.

ASPIDER-NGI has also pursued an aggressive merger-and-acquisition strategy to reinforce its position as an industry leader. Prior to its merger with NGI, ASPIDER, headquartered in the Netherlands with its U.S. operation based in Boston, partnered with Wyless, a provider of end-to-end solutions in the machine-to-machine (M2M) and IoT markets. This year, ASPIDER-NGI is expanding its value proposition by acquiring Solavei, a social commerce network and mobile service provider firm.

ASPIDER-NGI Vice President of Corporate Development Patrick Meijer said that partnership will allow ASPIDER-NGI to incorporate Solavei’s social and referral platforms into its product offerings. “What’s so different about Solavei is it has created an entirely new form of distribution for the market of mobile service, capitalizing on the fast-growing trends of social media, mobile and referral marketing,” Meijer explained.

The powerful combination of value-added services running the gamut of enterprise needs, along with a robust merger-and-acquisition strategy and a corporate culture dedicated to enabling fast innovation and organizational flexibility, has positioned ASPIDER-NGI as the go-to source for enterprises struggling to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving business ecosystem.

Mooijman discussed how ASPIDER-NGI services bridge the gap between MNOs and MVNOs.  “We bring the reliability and stability a MNO is looking for,” Mooijman said. “With Next Gen, we also put in the innovative part that adds value to either the MNO or the MVNO. We enable the MVNOs to differentiate and grow revenue and be different from the MNO itself. That’s what we’re good at. We offer something the MNO is not capable of and [something] the MVNO doesn’t have the knowledge and technology to do themselves.”
