SCHAUMBURG, Ill.-Motorola Inc. promoted Fred Shlapak to executive vice president as well as president of the company’s Semicon-ductor Products Sector. Previously, Shlapak was senior vice president and assistant to the SPS president.
The company also announced Bill Walker, senior vice president, has been promoted to general manager of SPS. He previously served as director of the sector’s order fulfillment organization.
Shlapak and Walker will form a two-person Office of the President for SPS. Shlapak will serve as the sector’s senior officer, focusing on customers and business strategies, and Walker will be responsible for operations.
