Engim introduces WLAN chipset

ACTON, Mass.-Engim Inc. has introduced the EN-3000, a multi-channel, multi-band wireless local area network chipset to enable development of access points that simultaneously communicate over 802.11 a/b/g to increase network capacity and performance.

The EN-3000 incorporates the company’s Wideband Spectral Processing to capture and digitize available radio-frequency spectrum and mitigate RF interference.

“Unlike today’s silicon solutions, which are limited to operating on only a single WLAN channel at a time, Engim’s multi-band, multi-channel, scalable chipsets can capture and process the available WLAN spectrum, supporting simultaneous communications over multiple 802.11a and 802.11b/g WLAN channels,” the company said.
