LISLE, Ill.-Tellabs said it is building a new production plant and research facility in Espoo, Finland, near Helsinki. The facility, which is scheduled to open during the fourth quarter, will house the company’s Martis DXX system production.
Tellabs said it also will implement a production logistics program at the new facility, aimed to significantly reduce throughput time by the end of 1998.
