Enhanced directory assistance provider Metro One Telecommunications Inc. said it hired XRoads Solutions Group to help it restructure and improve its financial position.
Metro One said its goals are to obtain additional funding, find additional revenue opportunities and increase operational cash flow while reducing costs. XRoads typically provides corporate finance, strategic and operational consulting and turnaround management services.
Alexander Stevenson, principal of XRoads, has joined the Metro One as executive vice president of restructuring as part of the arrangement.
Metro One has struggled since losing its directory assistance business with Sprint Nextel Corp. last year.
Metro One’s stock was trading up slightly early Thursday at $2.06 per share.
