Mobile software developer Dexterra Inc. picked up $36 million in a fifth round of venture funding.
New investor New Enterprise Associates led the round, joining existing investors Canaan Partners, Intel Capital, Mesirow Financial, Motorola Inc. and Sigma Partners. Dexterra, which makes software that allows mobile workers to access their office networks remotely, has raised a total of $88 million since its 2002 founding.
The Bothell, Wash.-based company said it will use the cash for “strategic, measured growth,” and hopes to achieve profitability by the end of this year.
“In the last year, we’ve grown our global customer base to include marquee brands in ever region, our partners have increasingly chosen to bring us into their most strategic opportunities, and we have been recognized by leading analyst firms for setting the pace as a leader in this market,” said CEO Rob Loughan.
