BERNE, Switzerland-Swisscom AG said it will not make an offer to merge with Telekom Austria and said talks regarding a possible merger between the companies have ended. Swisscom said the two incumbent telecom companies were in discussions about a possible merger.
“Both parties agree on the advantages of a possible merger,” said Swisscom in a statement. “Under the current circumstances, however, they do not consider it possible to find a solution that would serve the interests of all concerned.”
