PLAINFIELD, Ind.-Motorola Inc. has signed Brightpoint North America L.P. to provide logistics services for Motorola’s automotive division, the companies announced recently.
Under terms of the agreement, Brightpoint’s services will include inventory and order management, hosted Web site and customer support, and reporting for Motorola Automotive, which provides onboard wireless communications for security, convenience and location-based services.
The Motorola division’s products include hands-free systems with graphical interfaces on the center stack display and speaker-independent voice commands.
