APCO names Newman executive director

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.-The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International named John Newman its new executive director.

Newman joins APCO from Matsushita Communication Industrial Corp. of America, where he was vice president and functional chief operations officer.
