Itronix wins $14M in government contracts

SPOKANE, Wash.-Itronix, which specializes in ruggedized mobile computing systems, announced it has been awarded new project contracts worth $14 million.

The company is involved in the Dismounted Intelligence Situation Mapboard (DISM) program and the Direct Liquid Ethanol Delivery System, both part of the Department of Defense spending bill for fiscal year 2004. The company has also joined General Dynamics in a joint project to pursue innovative power solutions for handhelds and laptops.

“Ruggedized computers built by Itronix have developed a great reputation with our armed forces, both in the field and at the Pentagon,” said U.S. Rep. George Nethercutt Jr. (R-Wash.), adding, “The marriage of Itronix technology with today’s warrior is a win-win solution. Our soldiers get the best equipment, and we keep and create jobs here.”
