BURLINGTON, Vt.-Nextel Partners Inc. completed the original national buildout of its iDEN-based network with the launch of wireless service in Vermont covering Burlington, Montpelier, Barre, Vergennes, Middlebury, Rutland and White River Junction, as well as Plattsburgh, N.Y. The launch expands the carrier’s network to cover 53 million potential customers in 31 states.
Nextel Partners added that it expects to launch Nationwide Direct Connect capabilities in Vermont during the third quarter of this year.
