CHICAGO, Ill.-Tellabs Inc. said it plans to slash 665 more employees, including 490 in the Chicago area, as part of its cost-cutting strategy.
The company also reported a loss of $43 million, or 10 cents a share on a $223 million revenue for the first quarter.
In the year-ago period, Tellabs reported a profit of $5.3 million.
