NEW YORK—Celltick Technologies, an Israeli interactive mobile broadcasting solution developer founded in March 2000, received US$10 million in follow-on venture financing it will use to accelerate marketing in Europe and Asia, the company said 8 August.
Celltick is trialing its technology with several wireless carriers, including BT Cellnet and Partner Communications, which does business under the Orange brand name. The company, headquartered in Herzlia, streams content, including news feed, television schedules, entertainment and information, that is accessible within two touches of a keypad.
Jerusalem Venture Partners was one of two firms leading the latest financing round. The other, London-based Elwin Capital Partners, will add its general partner, Winston Ginsberg, to Celltick’s board of directors.
“ECP has identified in the company’s revolutionary technology a new layer of wireless infrastructure that bridges the gap between cellular phone users and next-generation data services,” Ginsberg said.
