ASTROLINK AND PARTNERS CLOSE EQUITY INVESTMENT

BETHESDA, Md.-Astrolink L.L.C. and partners Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications, TRW and Telespazio closed an equity investment of $900 million in cash that will allow Astrolink to offer on-demand wireless broadband services, said the company.

Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications owns 46 percent of the new company. TRW and Telespazio each own 27 percent of Astrolink.
