DALLAS-Northern Telecom Ltd. was awarded a three-year $4 million contract to supply Wireless II L.L.C. with switching and base station equipment that will provide fixed and mobile telephone service using cdmaOne digital wireless technology.
Operating as Nebraska Wireless Telephone Co., Wireless II is a personal communications services licensee owned by six independent operating companies. Wireless II initially plans to build 1900 MHz Code Division Multiple Access networks in Grand Island, Kearney, North Platte and Norfolk, Neb.
