AMERITEL STARTS DIGITAL CELLULAR IN N.Y.

NORCROSS, Ga.-Reseller Ameritel Communications Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary or USCI Inc., initiated digital cellular service in New York City.

The digital service, which is branded Clear Voice, will include a package of airtime minutes included in the monthly access fee and a uniform regional home rate that extends from Boston to Washington D.C., said Bruce Hahn, chairman and chief executive officer of the company.
