ATLANTA-BellSouth Mobility DCS introduced a new wireless calling plan called “Save Your Minutes” that allows customers to roll over unused minutes from one month to the next for 12 months.
A subscriber with a 60-minute monthly package who only uses 40 minutes one month can forward the unused minutes to the following month. Current DCS customers can switch to the new plan by paying a $25 fee.
“If you don’t use ’em-Then you won’t lose ’em!” is the promotion for the program, designed by Long Haymes Carr of Winston-Salem, N.C. A TV commercial pokes fun at the absurdity of actually losing things you paid for, such as airtime, simply because you haven’t used them recently. The advertisement shows movers storming into the home of a young man and removing apparently unused items, such as the stove, a tuxedo and a dog.
