ALLAS-Paging Network Inc. announced it is now providing personalized e-mail and information services to subscribers through CompuServe’s Smart Rules program.
The agreement allows PageNet subscribers who are CompuServe members to set up customized profiles that automatically filter and forward select e-mails, as well as financial and sports news and other online information to their pagers, said PageNet.
PageNet said it began offering alphanumeric messaging through the CompuServe user interface in March. Now users can receive messages sent directly to their pagers and forward any e-mail from their CompuServe mailbox.
Smart Rules users also can receive information services such as the status of any five stock issues, sports scores, weather and traffic information.
