Flying RF testing equipment? T-Mobile and Amazon aren’t the only companies exploring commercial applications for automated flight. While multi-billion dollar entities, public-advocacy groups, and government regulators debate policy, PCTEL is focused on ideas and engineering. SkyLine is PCTEL’s forward-thinking concept to expand the reach and efficiency of RF network testing equipment and services through emerging technologies.

While we look forward to the possibilities of tomorrow’s testing solutions, the core network engineering tools used in SkyLine are available today:

SeeGull IBflex® is a portable scanner. Its lightweight and small form factor that was designed for in-building walk test also made it the perfect choice to integrate with SkyLine. Its field-upgradeable software configuration supports all major cellular technologies, plus WiFi, and bands from 570 MHz to 3.8 GHz. Its unique hot swap battery system can reduce total testing time and disruptions. The IBflex is combined with SeeHawk Touch™, PCTEL’s software tool to efficiently visualize and analyze data collected by the scanner.

PCTEL’s SeeWave™ interference locating system is a comprehensive tool to detect interfering frequencies and locate the exact source. SeeWave’s portability and ergonomic design makes it just as easy to operate with one hand on-the-go as it is to attach to SkyLine. SeeWave utilizes a SeeGull scanner equipped with advanced spectrum analysis, directional antenna, and tablet-optimized software program.

The SeeGull CW Transmitter is a two or four-port, continuous wave transmitter with a frequency range from 400 MHz to 2.7 GHz. It supports the design and verification of in-building networks during the CW Testing phase – whether it is hovering or set up at a fixed position. Its ability to simultaneously emit four different frequencies in one portable unit reduces testing time and resources needed.
