True Digital Park, the first global startup and digital innovation hub in Thailand, has announced a collaboration with? Cisco, Microsoft, Epson and Ricoh to create the ultimate digital workplace. The four technology partners have contributed significantly to the park?s innovative technology infrastructure designed to attract global startups.
Located in Punnawithi in Bangkok?s Cyber Tech District, the 200,000 square meter master development heralded the largest startup tech park Southeast Asia ambitiously aims to house more than 20,000 startups and tech companies.
“True Digital Park has brought together the most cutting-edge and advanced technology, including Augmented Analytics and Big Data Analytics, AI, IoT and 5G testbed, as well as various digital services to drive True Digital Park into becoming Thailand’s first digital innovation hub,? stated Thanasorn Jaidee, president of True Digital Park.
The new development will be equipped with smart building and facilities intelligent systems such as smart access via authorized QR codes, self-service kiosks, smart lighting through tablet controlled devices, facial recognition for occupant identity verification, heat mapping to identify the density of occupant activity throughout the properties and even paving slabs that convert energy from people’s footsteps into small amounts of electrical power at night.
True Digital Park building a smart workplace through technology
Cisco will support the deployment of smart technology assets through its network infrastructure and provide robust cybersecurity for the park. To prevent attacks from cyber threat an Identity Service Engine ISE solution which was integrated to enhance cybersecurity protection will be supplemented with a Cisco Next-Gen Firewall.
Cisco will also provide the networking infrastructure for all smart technologies such as heat map that collects data on space utilization for further analysis, management and effective communication with the users; smart lighting that operates power control at the office and meeting rooms to ensure optimal energy efficiency and performance to cybersecurity.
The park?s facial recognition systems will be deployed by Microsoft to automatically monitor incoming and outgoing foot traffic instead of relying on traditional card-based alternatives. This new system is powered by Cognitive Services on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
The smart workplaces will be designed with a remote application for booking conference room and meeting rooms, screen projectors and printers activated at a designated time, smart hospitality robotic machines, and payment processes.
Google has announced plans to set up Google Academy there, and more tech giants are expected to announce their plans next month, according to Thanasorn.
The first phase of True Digital Park is scheduled to open at the end of this year.
