The two companies said their joint venture targets an improved consumer experience through a faster return to market of serviced mobile products. Through the agreement, the joint venture will provide OEMs and operators and their mobile ecosystem with a single point of contact to solve transportation, advance repair, and retail issues, an improved turn around time (TAT) index, and management of reverse logistics and repair ecosystem complexities. Customers are demanding quicker repair solutions, Marcelo Claure, chairman and CEO of Brightstar, said in a statement.

Teleplan’s CEO Gotthard Haug noted the agreement will enable his company to expand its end-to-end service solutions and unique global footprint into Latin America, while Brightstar will leverage its reach in Latin America and its local expertise in Brazil while utilizing Teleplan’s ability to manage the after-market complexities involved with mobile devices.
